The Perfect Staycation for your Sanity at the Westin

It’s no secret we all need a change of scenery every now and then given our homes have become our offices, schools, daycare centers, etc. and it can be draining to say the least! Being limited as to what we’re able to do to shake up our day to day, it’s important to safely get away for our mental health.

Luckily, we had a chance to do just that recently in the presidential suite of the Westin Seattle! I’ve been doing weekly live shows every Tuesday night on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, so we decided to utilize our partnership with the Westin to go on location and broadcast live from the suite with views of my favorite city as the backdrop.

The floor to ceiling windows made for a breathtaking view, accompanied by multiple lounge areas, kitchens, and rooms. It was the first time I had done something that even resembled a real show in this new reality and loved getting excited about an “event” again.

It was also my husband’s birthday, so we had a few people come watch the live and hang out with us afterwards while we made drinks, ordered food to the room, and soaked up the change of scenery.

I kept looking around and smiling, ecstatic to be in the city and in such a beautiful space that was NOT MY HOUSE. Ha!

We woke up the next morning refreshed and relaxed, and leisurely sipped some coffee while watching the birds carelessly float between the tall skyscrapers.

It was exactly what I needed to get out, enjoy some kid-free time, while still being close enough to be home in 20 minutes.
